AZCERT’s Board of Directors Gains Experience and Expertise with the Addition of Two New Board Members

AZCERT, the founding organization for the internationally recognized CredibleMeds.org website, is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to our Board of Directors. Drs. James Galloway and James Tisdale bring years of talent and expertise to the growing CredibleMeds team. We are tremendously excited to be able to work and collaborate with these extraordinary individuals, and to learn from their combined experiences in the field of healthcare, medicine, and pharmacology.

Dr. Galloway currently serves as the President and CEO of Admiral innovation, a health innovation firm focusing on the future of health and healthcare in both the United States and abroad. He previously served as the Assistant United States Surgeon General and as the HHS Regional Health Administrator for the Upper Midwest. Earlier, while working at the University of Arizona as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, he founded the Center for Native American Health, the Clinical Native American Cardiology Program, as well as the Pathways into Health Program for American Indian Students. Dr. Galloway has received numerous awards, most recently receiving the Surgeon General’s Exemplary Performance Award and ‘Public Health Visionary’ from the Respiratory Health Association.

Dr. Tisdale currently serves as a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Purdue University, and as an Adjunct Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine. From 2001-2004, he was a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and from 2009-2010 he was the President of ACCP. Dr. Tisdale’s continuing research on the prevention and management of naturally occurring and drug-induced arrhythmias has resulted in over 160 journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He is also the co-editor of the book, “Drug-Induced Diseases: Prevention, Detection, and Management,” which is now in its second edition.

Through these newest additions to the CredibleMeds leadership team, we hope to continue to accelerate and improve our ability to foster safe medicines use by providing trusted and accurate information on medications for patients, healthcare providers, and research scientists.
